The Egyptian, Greek and Turkish navies in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 11 August 1825

Frankfurt, 6 August. The newspaper le Spectateur Oriental published a news item dated Smirna 30 June. According to tidings brought by an Austrian ship which left Canea 21 June were both Turkish fleets still off Suda waiting for a favourable wind to departed for Morea with 5.000 Albanian soldiers. Around Crete were 84 large and small Greek ships watching the Turkish.
