The French navy in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 26 June 1829

According to tidings from Toulon dated 15 June they were still busy at the yards and in the arsenals, mostly with the fitting out of small smaller vessels which were, as assured, destined for an expedition against Algiers. The rumours that de Rigny was to command this expedition wasn’t confirmed en his return with the ship of the line le Conquerant to the Greek waters was more expected.
