16 February 1760. Madrid, 14 January. The intention was to have 1 April 30 ships of the line and 10 frigates to be ready to depart directly with ordered to do so. The fleet was of a strength comparable with earlier years. It was hoped that this was enough against the Moorish who repeatedly harassed the coasts.
