An item referred to a telegram published in the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Rotterdamsche Courant reporting that in the torpedo department of the navy arsenal at Toulon, France a fire broke out within short notice threatening the depot of the submarine station. With the support of local firemen was the fire extinguished although the arsenal was destroyed with considerable damage.
