An announcement reported that shipbrokers De Groof&Hector of Vlissingen, Netherlands were searching for some one interested in a bottomry in the Prussian bark ship Eduard captain Halberstadt underway with stores towards New York and which entered Vlissingen with damage.(1)

Fritz George Halberstadt captain of this bark with as homeport Stettin received a bottomry of ƒ 7.995,00 from Jan Baptist de Groot, Vlissingen against a premium of 20% so he would have ƒ 9.594,00 to pay back after returning safely at home.
