Dutch transport Zr.Ms. Helder bound for the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche en Nieuwedieper Courant dated Thursday 19 May 1864

An item dated Den Helder the 18th October reported that the Dutch transport Zr.Ms. Heldin commanded by captain lieutenant P.W. Stort on Sunday morning left towards the Dutch East Indies.(1)

1. Built as a corvette by C. Soetermeer and A.E. Tromp at the navy yard at Vlissingen, Netherlands. Laid down 31 June 1839, launched 26 May 1842 and since 1908 accommodation ship. One deck. Dimensions 36,5 (between perpendiculars) x 10,00 (inner beam) x 4,25 (fore)-4,82 (aft) x 5,39 (hold below upper deck) metres and a displacement of 775 tons.
