British bark Jane Avery damaging other ships in the harbour of Den Helder, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Heldersche Courant dated 27 March 1867
An item dated Den Helder, Netherlands the 26th reported that on the 22nd the British bark ship Jane Avery captain M’Vay collided in the harbour with 3 tjalks berthed alongside the bank. The one au the outside was heavily damaged. The Jane Avery turned around and causing heavily damaged to the hull and rigging of the kof Lubbegina captain Spithorst. She was bound for Liverpool England with a cargo of savage. Except for her ruder was the Jane Avery hardly damaged. Despite this committed her captain next morning suicide.
