Dutch frigate ship Jakob Cats arrived at Batavia, Dutch East Indies coming from Dordrecht, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche Courant dated 12 February 1836

An item reported that the Dutch frigate ship Jakob Cats captain Jan Ingerman which left Dordrecht, Netherlands towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies arrived there on 12 October 1835 without any losses during the voyage. On board was captain Cleerens (1) with his household and a detachment soldiers.

1. Johannes Baptista Cleerens (27 August 1785 Antwerp, Belgium-15 April 1850 Ambon, Dutch East Indies). Since 27 May 1835 promoted to the rank of general major titular, in 1837 retired with the rank of colonel and between 1846 and 1850 governor of the Moluccas.
