Dutch ship Australië transported troops to the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode 19 January 1859

An item reported the arrival on 14 November 1858 at Nieuwediep, Netherlands of a detachment of 125 military coming by steamboat from Harderwijk, Netherlands and since embarked on board of the Dutch ship Australië departed towards the Dutch East Indies. The detachment was commanded by infantry captain H.A.M. Latour accompanied by 2nd infantry lieutenant J.L. Beijens and officers of health 3rd class J. Arendsen de Wolff and R. Deibel.
