Of the modified Black Swan-class of which the building was authorized in the 1941 Programme. Laud down at the Chatham Dockyard on 15 February 1943, launched on 29 January 1944, commissioned on 3 September 1945 and finally broken up on 11 March 1961. The specifications of this class were a displacement of 1.350 tons with as dimensions 91,29 x 11,73 x 3,4 metres or 299’6”x 38’6”x 11’. The geared turbines supplied 4.300 hp allowing a speed of 20 knots or with 12 knots a range of 7.500 nautical miles. Her crew numbered 192 men. The armament consisted of 3x2-10,2cm/4” quick firing guns, 4x3pd pom-pom anti aircraft, 6x2 cm Oerlikon anti aircraft guns and 110 depth charges.
