British brig sloop HMS Hecate arrived in British coming from Macau and Malysia according to the Dutch newspaper Java Government Gazette dated 23 March 1816

An item reported the arrival at Saugur, British Indies on 21 January of the British brig HMS Hecate coming from Macau and Penang, Malaysia.(1)

1. Brig sloop of the Cruizer-class, launched at the shipyard of King, Upnor, England on 30 May 1807, probably sold to what became the Chilean navy in 1817, with a builders measurement of 385 tons and an armament of, 18 guns.
