British 6th rate HMS Mersey arrived at Curacao coming from Antigua according to the Dutch newspaper De Curacaosche courant dated 29 August 1829

An item reported the arrival at Willemstad, Curacao on last Monday of the British corvette HMS Mercey captain Courtnay coming from Antigua.

1. Probably the British 6th rate HMS Mersey launched at the shipyard of Courtney, Chester, England in March 1814, since 1832 harbour service and finally broken up in July 1852, with a builders measurement of 451 tons and an armament of 28 guns.
