German sailor arrested for not saluting and killed when he fled according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Tilburgsche Courant dated 7 August 1898

An item reported that in Kiel, Germany a German sailor did not salute a passing officer. This happened not on navy area but on street. When the officer demanded a passing patrol to arrest the sailor tried the young men to flee and was he shot dead.
