Austrian screw steam sloop Fasana arrived at Batavia, Dutch East Indies coming from Singapore according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 8 May 1888

An item dated Batavia, Dutch East Indies 8^th reported the arrival of the Austrian steam warship Fasana captain Von Wohlgemuth coming from Singapore. She departed on the 16^th towards Hong Kong.(1)

Sloop, laid down at the Navala Adriatico, Trieste, Italy on 9 October 1869, launched on 1 September 1870, completed on 5 May 1871, stricken on 7 August 1897, hulked, renamed Gamma as mine storage ship on 7 August 1902, final fate not clear probably broken up in 1920. Armament at the time she visited Batavia 4-15cm guns and 3-7cm guns.
