Austrian screw steam sloop Fasana arrived Batavia, Dutch East Indies coming from Japan according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch Handelsblad dated 5 March 1872

An item dated 4^th reported the arrival at Batavia, Dutch East Indies of the Austrian steam warship Fasana captain De Tunk leaving Japan on the 25^th. The edition of the 11^th reported the departure on the 11^th towards the East now calling her Fasona.(1)

Sloop, laid down at the Navala Adriatico, Trieste, Italy on 9 October 1869, launched on 1 September 1870, completed on 5 May 1871, stricken on 7 August 1897, hulked, renamed Gamma as mine storage ship on 7 August 1902, final fate not clear probably broken up in 1920. Armament at the time she visited Batavia 4-15cm guns and 3-7cm guns.
