British steamship Hydaspes arrived at Madeira without screw according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 5 June 1902

An item dated Madeira 3rd reported that the British steamship Hydaspes (1) of the Houston Line which lost her screw was towed into the harbour by the British steamship Severn of the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company.(1)

1. Built in 1899, ex-Manchester Port of the Manchesters Liners Limited acquired and renamed Hydaspes in 1900, finally sold and broken up in 1930.
