Steamship Vesterbotten arrived at Stockholm, Sweden wit Hough problems with the ice according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 5 June 1902

An item dated Stockholm, Sweden 30th May reported that the steamship Vesterbotten which departed on the 24th towards Umea returned on the evening of the 29th. The water was ice free during her voyage. Just in the west was drift ice sighted.
