Transport Dives torpedoed according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 25 February 1918

An item reported that on the 1st the transport Dives was destroyed between Marseille and Bougie despite the presence of a escorted convoy. A submarine however was not sighted. On board were 339 passengers including 300 military. Her crew numbered 55 men. Missing were 110 persons.
