Her building at the Stoczcznia Polnocna Shipyard, Gdansk, Poland was ordered in October 1999 but temporarily cancelled by the Polish government when her ambassador was kidnapped in Yemen. An improved project NS-722 (Polnocny-class) design with a displacement of 1.363-1,410 (full load) tons and as dimensions 79,00 (between perpendiculars)-88,60 (over all) x 10,00 x 2,40 metres. Her armament consisted of 1-3cm anti aircraft Gatling, 1x2-23mm anti aircraft machine guns, 2-4 round launchers of SAMs and 2-40 round 12,2cm WM 122/20 artillery RL. Her crew numbered 49 men. Transport capacity 111-169 (temporarily) soldiers and 5-42 ton tanks. Maximum weight cargo capacity 290 ton. Speed 15 knots. A flight platform aft was suitable for 1-4 ton helicopter.
