Chilean dredgers Meusa, Rhin and Holanda built at Slikkerveer, Netherlands according to the Dutch magazine De ingenieur dated 28 December 1901
An item reported the departure on the 28th from Rotterdam, Netherlands towards Valparaiso, Chile of the first of the three dredgers built by the firm A.F. Smulders at Slikkerveer, Netherlands for account of the Chilean government under supervision of professor Dijxhoorn of Delft, Netherlands. The hopper with a cargo capacity of 425 ton was named Meusa [yard number 270, capacity 250 cubic metres]. Within a few weeks was the [seagoing] dredger Holanda [yard number 269] to depart while the seagoing suction steam dredger Rhin [yard number 271, capacity 250 cubic metres] was launched at Slikkerveer, Netherlands on the 24th and planned to depart in February 1902. According to the shipyard lists were all three ships of Schuback, Chile.
