Dutch lugger Scheveningen heavily damaged towed into Aberdeen, Scotland according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 26 June 1896

An item reported that the Dutch lugger Bartholomeus of Scheveningen, Netherlands towed the Dutch lugger Scheveningen of Maassluis, Netherlands into the harbour of Aberdeen, Scotland, The Scheveningen was heavily leaking after hitting a cliff. The newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 24th reported that the master of the Barthelomeus was M. Mos, of the Scheveningen MA35 M. Schepens and that she had been stranded on the cliffs near the Shetland Islands. The edition dated 26th reported that her keel was broken and the boarding embarkation severely damaged and that she on the 25th was dry docked.
