Corsican rebels fitted out a demi galley according to the Dutch newspaper Opregte Groninger courant dated 9 December 1763

An item dated Genoa, Italy 15th November referred to letters received from Corsica reporting that the demi galley fitted out by the rebels now was lying at Centiru.(1)

1. Corsica had been for five centuries part of the Republic of Genoa when in the 1750s a rebellion broke out resulting in the Corsican Republic. Genoa failed in retaining her rule and sol the island to France in 1764.
