Spanish navy destroyed an Algerian galley according to the Dutch newspaper ‘s Hertogenbossche courant dated 4 August 1772

An item dated Malaga, Spain 30 June reported that two days earlier for the Strait’s the Spanish captured and destroyed an Algerian galley manned with 50 Moorish who were brought to Ceuta, Spanish Morocco. The Moorish stated that on the 27th a Algerian chebecq captured an unknown Danish merchant ships. The Spanish navy departed to chase for this chebecq and to recapture if possible the Danish ship.
