Papal galley St. Peter destroyed Turkish galliot according to the Dutch newspaper Ommelander courant dated 8 July 1788

An item dated Rome, Italy 4th June referred to a tiding received from Civita Vechia reporting that the Papal galley St. Peter a Turkish galliot destroyed after a chase off Corsica and that the 27 Turkish persons on board were made slaves.
