Laid down at the Arsenal da Marinha,Lisbon, Portugal on 5 November 1931, launched on 17 March 1934 as an aviso 2nd class, commissioned on 11 April 1935, reclassified as survey vessel in 1956. Displacement maximum 1.017 toneladas or 1.162 (standard)-1.217 (full loaded) tons and as dimensions 70,5-71,4 (over all)x 10 x 3,1 metres (243.3 x 32,8 x 10.2 feet). Her crew numbered 48 (as survey vessel in 1975)-138 men. Speed 16,5 knots. Horsepower 2.400 hp (2 MAN diesels). Made voyages towards Madeira, Azores, Mozambique and Africa. Saved in 1942 survivors belonging to the British steamships Avila Star and Clan MacWhirter both torpedoed by German submarines. Stationed at Cape Verde until April 1943 and then station at India and Macau. Converted into a survey vessel in 1956 and served at Guinea and later Cape Verde as survey vessel but if necessary still as warships during the Independence wars in Africa. Pennant A528 since 1959.Armament original 2x1-12,cm guns, 4x1-4cm guns (in the 1940‘4 replaced b4x1-2cm anti aircraft guns), 4 mortars and 2 rails depth charges.
