Turkish galley fleet cruising for Maltese and Corsican ships according to the Dutch newspaper Haerlemsche courant dated 18 June 1767

An item dated Constantinople, Turkey 2nd May reported that the Captain Pasha on 30th April hoisted his admirals flag on board of his galley and his fleet went to the roads. The fleet consisting of 4 galleys and 9 other ships was to depart on short notice to cruise for Maltese and Corsican ships. At the mouth of the Dardanelles was she to be strengthened by the galleys coming from the Archipelago.
