Dutch luggers harassed by French fishing vessel according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 10 October 1900

An item reported the arrival at Vlaardingen, Netherlands a day earlier of the lugger Jacob owned by W. den Dulk Jz., at Vlaardingen, Netherlands together with a lugger uit Maassluis, Netherlands. Of both ships was the complete drifting net destroyed by a French fishery vessel.
