Canadian light cruiser Aurora 1913-at least 1923

Arethusa-design. Launched in 1913, completed in 1914, displacement 3.500 tons, horsepower 40.000 hp, oil-fired turbine direct drive machinery and an armament of 2-6” guns, 6-4” guns, 1-4” anti aircraft gun, 9 machineguns and 8 torpedo tubes.(1)

1. Of the Arethusa-class, preceded by Active-class, succeeded by C-class, laid down by Devonport Dockyard on 24 October 1912, launched on 30 September 1913, commissioned in September 1914, decommissioned in 1918, acquired by Canada on 25 March 1920, commissioned on 1 November 1920, decommissioned on 1 July 1922 and sold to be broken up in August 1927.
