Dutch government steamship Albatros 1910-1950
Tender sent by the Dutch shipyard Kon. Mij. Displacement 538 (launching)-807-892 (maximum) tons. Gross tonnage 748,734 tons and net 236,974 tons. Two decks, Her crew numbered 47 men. Coal bunker capacity 110 ton. Two masts. Displacement at launching 538 tons met engine and boilers on board and a draught of 1,64 (fore)-2,93 (aft). One screw. Fitted out with 1 triple 3 cylinder compound engine nr. 276 of 800 ihp (contracted) and the cylindrical boilers nrs. 583-584. During the trial was a speed of 12,4 miles achieved with 1.140 hp at 165 rpm, a draught of 3,00 metres and a displacement of 775 tons. Steel built with a teak made shell and below the waterline coppered.
