Russia using fast motor boats against German submarines according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1915-1916 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Shipping Illustrated reporting that the Russian navy commissioned fast motor boats to be used against the German submarines. Dimensions 18 x 3 x 0,75 metres. Fitted out with (2?) 175 hp engines. Speed more as 28 miles. Range with a moderate speed 1.000 nautical miles, at 26 miles speed around the 500-600 nautical miles. The crew numbered 7 men. There were 4 watertight bulkheads. Accommodation for 6 sailors, a cabin for 2 officers and a hospital.
