British Admiralty intended to ask shipyards about the delivery conditions for new destroyers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1904-1905 no. 9
An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht reporting that the British Admiralty intended to inform the several shipbuilders for their opinion dealing with the building and delivery of destroyers with a speed of 33-34 miles. The range was at least to be 2.000 nautical miles and further more was a economic speed desired. There were yet none conditions with machinery was to be used. A second item in the Le Yacht reported a minimum speed of 28 miles instead of the 25,5 miles of the serving destroyers.
