Building of Swedish coastal defence ship Dristigheten started according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens 1899 no. 1

As aircraft tender

An item reported that the building was started of the Swedish totally steel made armoured ship Dristigheten, (1) which was an improved Oden-design. Dimensions 87 x 15 x 4,9 (aft) metres and a displacement of 3.450 tons. The armour consisted of a 4,8cm thick deck while the belt, conning tower and gun turrets were protected by 20cm thick armour. Speed 16 knots. The armament consisted of 2-21cm guns, 6-16cm guns, 6-5,7cm quick firing guns, 2 machineguns and 2 submerged torpedo tubes.

1. Laid down at Lindholmen Shipyard, Gothenburg, Sweden in 1898, launched on 28 April 1900, commissioned on 5 September 1901, converted into a seaplane carrier in 1961, decommissioned on 13 June 1947 and classified as a target until she was broken up in 1961.
