Turkish navy and army protested against German drill methods according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 26 December 1914

An item dated Surabaya, Dutch East Indies 25th reported that in the Turkish navy and army was much resistance against the Prussian drill methods of the German officers. A mutiny was feared in case of a serious defeat.
