French navy able to require herself aircraft according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1938 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau dated March 1938 reporting that the French navy had de definitive control over the maritime air forces and a share control over the training of the air force stationed along the coast. However the aircraft acquired the navy via the Department of aviation which caused delays. In stead of the 100 planes which were to have been in 1937, the navy just received 4. The technical equipment of the navy was good enough to acquire the needed aircraft in her own way.
