An item reported that while the Lake Torpedoboat Company at Bridgefort stopped her activities the recently launched submarine G 3 was to be completed at the naval shipyard at Brooklyn, USA.(1)

Laid down at Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA as the Turbot on 30 March 1911, renamed G-3 on 17 November 1911, transferred to the New York Navy Yard when the Lake contract was cancelled, launched on 27 December 1913, commissioned on 22 March 1915 and finally sold to be broken up on 19 April 1922. The Lake Torpedo Boat Company finally demised in 1924 due to financial problems shortly after getting no orders from the US Navy.
