Japanese battleship Fuso on short notice to be commissioned according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1914-1915 no. 4




An item referred to Schiffbau no. 17 dated the Japanese battleship Fuso probably in July 1915 would be commissioned resulting in a Japanese warship armed with 35,6cm guns in actual service.(1)

1. Of the Fuso-class with as sister ship the Yamashiro. Laid down at the Kure Naval Arsenal, Japan on 11 March 1912, launched on 28 March 1914, completed on 8 November 1915 and sunk during the Battle of Surigao Strait on 25 October 1944. Preceded by the Kawachi-class and succeeded by the Ise-class.
