French Herse-class minesweepers under construction according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1913-1914 no. 9

An item reported that the Chantiers de la Seyne, France built two 4 minesweepers, 2 for the harbour of Toulon, France and 2 for Bizerte, Tunisia and which were to be named Herse, Rateau, Charrue and Pioche. Dimensions 36,8 x 6,8 x 2,68 (hold). With a horsepower of 600 ihp was the speed 12 miles. Strong built vessels which had numerous tasks including ‘mine fishing‘.(1)

1. The Herse-class except for the Herse all stricken in 1923; the Herse was in 1919 already stricken.
