British destroyer HMS Leven executing trials according to the Dutch magazine dated Marineblad 1899-1900 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the British destroyer HMS Leven started with her trials. During the 3hours trial was the medium speed 30,2 miles and the medium speed during 6 runs on the measured mile 30,67 miles.(1)

1. Gipsy-class, ordered under 1897-1898 Naval Estimates, laid down by Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, Govan, Glasgow, Scotland on 24 January 1898, launched on 28 June 1898, commissioned in July 1899 and sold to be broken up on 14 September 1920.
