Chinese protected cruiser Hai Tien executing trials according to the Dutch magazine dated Marineblad 1899-1900 no. 5

An item referred to the magazine le Yacht reporting that the Chinese 4.300 tons protected cruiser Hai-Tien executed some of her trials. On the 6 hours trial with natural draft was a medium sped of 22,6  miles. On the 4 hours with forced draft and 1.7000 hp was 24,1 miles achieved.

1. Of the Hai-Chi-class with as singe sister ship the Hai Chi, laid down by Armstrong, Elswick, England on 16 February 1897, launched on 25 November 1897, completed in 1899 and wrecked on 25 April 1904.
