An item reported that that the Russian light cruiser Kirov still was stationed at Lepaya, Latvia, a second ship however somewhat similar to the Kirov (1) was since the summer manoeuvres of 1961 also stationed at Lepaya.

1. Project 26 Kirov-class cruiser, laid down by Ordzhonikidze Yard, Leningrad, Russia with yard number 269 on 22 October 1935, launched on 30 November 1936, commissioned on 23 September 1938, reclassified as training cruiser on 2 August 1961 and sold to be broken up on 22 February 1974.
