Part of the Sleipner-class corvettes consisting of the Sleipner and AEger, originally were 5 to be built but due to economic reasons just two were realized. Displacement 610 9standard)-803 (full load) tons and as dimensions 69,33 x 7,90 x 2,50 metres or 227.6 x 25.11 x 8.2 feet. The machinery consisted of 4 MTU diesels with a total horsepower of 9.000bhp allowing a speed of 20 knots. Crew numbered 61 men. Armament consisted of 1-7,6cm/3” Mark 34 anti-aircraft gun, 1-4cm Bofors anti-aircraft gun, 1-Kongsberg Terne III MK 8 6-tube rocket-thrown depth charge launche4, 1 depth charge launcher with 6 charges and 2x3-32,4cm/12.8” torpedo tubes.
Sleipner (P950 later F310), laid down in 1963, launched on 9 November 1963, commissioned on 29 April 1965 and decommissioned in 1993. Later sunk while used as a target by a Hauk class patrol boat.
AEger (P951 later F 311), laid down in 1964, launched on 24 September 1965, commissioned on 31 March 1967 and decommissioned in 1993.
