Poisson gas killed two men on board of American battleship USS New York according to the Dutch newspaper Leeuwarder nieuwsblad dated 16 November 1929

An item reported that poison gas in the recently made torpedo store on board of the American battleship New York (1) at Virginia, USA killed a lieutenant and a warrant officer when the space was ventilated. Seven sailors who tried to rescue both officers were also poisoned but stayed alive.
