Russian dry cargo ship Olenek 1964-1979


Project 550. Of the Amguema type consisting of the Amguema, Penzhina, Olenek, Kapitan Gotskiy, Kapitan Bondarenko, Vankarem, Gizhigam, Navarin and Kapitan Markov. Built by the Leninskogo Komsala Shipyard, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Russia in 1964. Russia-flagged, homeport Vladivostok, IMO 6611992 and call sign UEUR. Lost by a fire in the Great Belt on 31 October 1979.

General characteristics. gross register tonnage 8.108 tons, net register tonnage 3.477 tons, displacement of 14.955 tons, a deadweight of 9.573 and a deadweight cargo capacity of 7.300 tons with a draught of 9,10 metres.
