Russian inland tug Sarata active on the Danube according to a CIA report dated 17 May 1948

An item reported that the one of the most important Russian tugs active on the Danube was the Sarata, built in August 1946 by the Skoda shops, Komarom, Czechoslovakia [nowadays Slovakia]. Displacement 200 tons, Oil fuelled and with her 1.600hp horsepower able to tow 20 loaded barges upstream with a speed of 5 kilometres. Just like her sister ship at the same time built by the same shipyard serving in the rapids of the Danube between the kilometres 945 and 1016.
