Finnish sealing season of 1941 profitable according to the Dutch newspaper Dagblad van Rotterdam dated 3 June 1942

An item referred to the annual review of the Finnish organisation of seal hunters were in 1941 more as 1.500 seals catches against the 5.000-6.000 in peace time. The decrease in the catch was mainly caused by the lacking sufficient quantities of fuel. The profits in 1941 however were larger than in earlier years while except for the skins also the prices for the meat were important.
