American whaler Bartholow Gospold visited Norfolk Island according to the Australian newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald dated Thursday 31 December 1868
An item referred to a report of captain Edwards that in November for victuals Norfolk Island was visited by the American whaler Bartholow Gospold master Nichols with a catch of 1.650 (?) barrels sperm after 20 months cruising.
