American whaler Northern Light visited Norfolk Island according to the Australian newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald dated Thursday 31 December 1868
An item referred to a report of captain Edwards that in November for victuals Norfolk Island was visited by the American whaler Northern Light master Baker with a catch of 450 barrels sperm and 460 barrels whale oil after 13 months cruising.
