French landing platform dock Ouragan (L 2021) 1962-2016-

Of the Ouragan-class, consisting of the Ouragan and the Orage, succeeded by Foudre-class, both ships were broken up at Ghent, Belgium in respectively 2017 and 2017. Laid down by DCN, Best, France in June 1962, launched on 9 November 1963, commissioned on 1 June 1965, retired in January 2007 and broken up at Ghent after her arrival in spring 2016. Displacement 5.965 (empty)-8.500 (loaded) tons and as dimensions 149 x 21,5 x 5,4 metres or 489 x 71 x 18 feet. Speed 17 knots. Range 9.000 nautical miles with a speed of 15 knots or 1.5000 with 12 knots. Crew 12 officers, 78 warrant officers and 115 enlisted crew. Armament consisted of 2 Simbas missile system, 4-12.7mm/0.50” machine guns and 2-4cm Bofors anti aircraft canon.
