According to a list dated March-April 1944 was the motor cargo ship Engerau of the Erste Donau-Dampfschiffahrtsgesellschaft (I.DDSG), part of the fleet of the Dnjepr-Küsten-Schiffahrt GmbH (D.K.S.), Germany-flagged, dimensions 62,40 x 8,10 x 2,00 metres and cargo capacity in sea service 389 tons. Machinery consisted of 2 diesels, horsepower 440 hp, fuel bunker capacity 33 tons, fuel consumption 2.000 kilo/24 hours and speed 5 (with tow)9- (without tow).
