A list of the ships launched in 1909 reported the sea going lighter Punta Diamante of 800 tons built by Jonker&Stans, Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht for account of an owner at Buenos Aires, Argentina.(1)

1. The Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 13 February 1090 published an item dated Portland, England 10th referring to a statement of the captain of the Dutch tug Oostzee. He towed the lighters Punta Diamante captain Smit and Punta Indio captain Schaap underway from Rotterdam, Netherlands towards Buenos Aires, Argentina up to 35 miles south west 1.2 west of the Bishops where the lighters on the 8th continued their voyage. The edition dated 17 May reported her arrival at Buenos Aires on Thursday 13 May. During her voyage she was rigged as a 2-mast schooner.
